By accessing or using the Consult STAT website, intake forms, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
Consult STAT LLC is a technology and healthcare coordination platform. Consult STAT is not a medical practice and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The physicians accessible through our platform are independent, licensed practitioners who provide medical services under their own licensure and through their own existing practices. Consult STAT facilitates the connection between patients and these independent physicians.
To use Consult STAT, you must be currently located in Massachusetts at the time of your consultation. Our physicians are licensed to practice in Massachusetts only. For patients under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the intake form and be present during the consultation.
Consult STAT provides a platform for patients to submit intake information, be matched with a board-certified specialist, and receive a remote consultation via text, phone, or video. If an in-person follow-up is recommended, it takes place at the physician's own practice and is subject to that practice's terms, policies, and billing.
The consultation fee is $99 per consult, charged after the consultation is complete. This fee covers the specialist consultation and any follow-up communication on the same issue within 7 days. A new issue constitutes a new consultation. If we are unable to match you with a specialist, you will not be charged. In-person visits, if recommended, are billed separately through the physician's practice and may be submitted to your insurance.
Consult STAT is not an emergency medical service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. Do not use Consult STAT for emergency medical needs.
By submitting an intake form, you consent to receive communications from Consult STAT and your matched physician via your selected communication method. If you select SMS, you acknowledge that text messaging is not a fully secure channel and consent to receiving consultation communications via SMS. Secure messaging and web browser alternatives are available.
A physician-patient relationship is established between you and the independent physician who provides your consultation — not between you and Consult STAT. The physician exercises independent clinical judgment in all consultations. Consult STAT does not direct, control, or supervise the medical care provided by the physicians on the platform.
Consult STAT provides a technology and coordination platform. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Consult STAT shall not be liable for any medical outcomes, clinical decisions, or actions taken by the independent physicians on the platform. Consult STAT makes no guarantees regarding medical outcomes, diagnosis accuracy, or treatment effectiveness.
All content on the Consult STAT website, including text, graphics, logos, and design, is the property of Consult STAT LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
