Consult STAT LLC ("Consult STAT," "we," "us") is a technology and coordination platform that connects patients with independent, licensed physicians. This Privacy Notice describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal and health information when you use our website, intake forms, and related services.

When you use Consult STAT, we may collect the following information:

• Name, date of birth, and contact information (phone number, email address)
• Location confirmation (Massachusetts residency)
• Health information you provide in the intake form, including your reason for the visit and relevant medical history
• Communication preferences (SMS, secure message, or web browser)
• Payment information processed through our payment provider, Stripe
• Website usage data collected through cookies and analytics tools, if applicable

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Match you with an appropriate specialist physician
• Facilitate communication between you and your specialist
• Coordinate in-person follow-up appointments when recommended
• Process payment for completed consultations
• Send follow-up communications related to your consult
• Improve our services and patient experience

We do not sell your personal or health information to third parties.

HIPAA Compliance

Consult STAT operates as a Business Associate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). The physicians on our platform are the Covered Entities responsible for the medical services they provide. We maintain Business Associate Agreements with our physicians and with our technology partners, including our messaging platform (Spruce Health), our business email provider (Google Workspace), and our payment processor (Stripe), as applicable.

We handle and store your health information in accordance with HIPAA and applicable Massachusetts privacy laws.

SMS Communications

If you select SMS as your preferred communication method, please be aware that standard text messaging is not a fully secure communication channel. Messages may be visible to your mobile carrier or other third parties. This is a limitation of SMS technology, not something Consult STAT controls. You will be asked to acknowledge this and provide your consent during the intake process. Secure messaging and web browser options are also available.

Data Minimization

We collect only the minimum information necessary to match you with a specialist and facilitate your consultation. We do not request full medical history unless it is clinically relevant to your specific intake.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

• Spruce Health — HIPAA-eligible messaging platform for patient-physician communication
• Google Workspace — HIPAA-eligible email and business tools
• Stripe — Payment processing
• Google Forms — Patient intake collection
• Netlify — Website hosting

Each service is subject to its own privacy policy and terms of use.

Data Retention

We retain patient information as required by applicable law and for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this notice. If you would like to request deletion of your information, please contact us at questions@consult-stat.com.

Your Rights
